Last update 27 April, 2010
Owners and visitors to the Riviera Maya real estate market will be able to jazz it up at a four day international music festival, this November.
"The opportunity to sit on the beach, under the twinkling stars while listening to a mixed genre of jazz is sure to turn a good evening in the Riviera Maya into a truly unforgettable one."

Owners and visitors to the Riviera Maya real estate market will be able to jazz it up at a four day international music festival, this November.

Top performers already confirmed for the 8th Annual Riviera Maya International Jazz Festival include Manhattan Transfer, George Duke and John MacLaughlin.

Organizers of the event announced the line up this week and Javier Aranda, general director of the Riviera Maya Destination Marketing Office, said, "The opportunity to sit on the beach, under the twinkling stars while listening to a mixed genre of jazz is sure to turn a good evening in the Riviera Maya into a truly unforgettable one."

The jazz showcase attracted some 50,000 visitors to the Riviera Maya real estate area last year, when artists included international stars such as Herbie Hancock, Kool and the Gang, Gino Vanelli, Pat Martino, Sergio Mendes, The Tower of Power, Fourplay and George Benson.

The event also gives local musicians the chance to take center stage and woo the crowds.

During the 4 days from November 25-28, 2010, there will be performances every evening from around 7pm. All concerts are free.

The organizers said that a warm-up event will also be held on May 29, when internationally acclaimed musicians, Phil Perry and Brian McKnight, will play in the evening at Mamitas Beach Club in Playa del Carmen.
