The number of tourists to Mexico has increased by more than 35% in the first half of 2010. Even more staggering, is that of the number of Canadians traveling to Mexico, who in June alone increased over 107 % from the previous year for some fun in the sun… Ole!

Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, Senora Gloria Guevara, attributes the astronomical increase to the strength and quality of Mexico's many diverse destinations. She expresses great pride when she points out that the traveler can come to Mexico and find not only their famous sun and sand destinations, but also the opportunity for archaeological, culinary and artistic experiences as well.

The marked increase in travelers heading to Mexico has not gone unnoticed by the airlines either. Many airlines are adding new routes to Cancun, including Delta who is adding 4 new flights and British Airways who is adding a new direct flight from London. 

With hotel room and cruise ship passengers also way above the numbers from last year, it is a tribute to Mexico's resiliency and its never ending wonders which will continue to attract millions and millions of visitors each and every year.
