Muyil Real Estate: An Investor’s Dream
Last update 26 August, 2011
Buying and holding raw land in the path of progress is one sure way to obtain these profits, but finding these opportunities before the masses is the secret.
Obviously, one can jump on the proverbial bandwagon and make a few crumbs from the profit pie while others make the lion's share by careful analysis and trends in certain growing marketplaces.
Most of the wealthiest people in the world, regardless if they consider themselves "Professional Investors" or not, have accumulated some or most of their wealth through successful real estate ventures or purchases.
Certainly buying and holding raw land in the path of progress is one sure way to obtain these profits, which is known as land banking, but finding these opportunities before the masses is the secret.
Obviously, one can jump on the proverbial bandwagon and make a few crumbs from the profit pie while others make the lion's share by careful analysis and trends in certain growing marketplaces.
This is happening right now on Mexico's Caribbean Coast known as the Riviera Maya. Stretching from Cancun to the exploding town of Tulum, the Riviera Maya is experiencing unprecedented growth. In 2006, Playa del Carmen was the fastest growing town on the planet according to the Guinness book of world records. Currently, it is the fastest growing town in Latin America. Obviously, Playa del Carmen real estate was positively affected by this explosion.Â
In 1990, just a few years ago, Playa was a small fishing village that had 2,000 residents. That number mushroomed to 20,000 in just 7 years. Today, that number is closer to 250,000 people.
Just down the road from this exploding, tourist hot spot is Tulum. Just a short while ago, the president of Mexico himself, Senor Felipe Calderon and his entourage descended upon this idyllic slice of heaven to announce the coming of a new international airport, and its ability to bring an additional 3 million passengers a year to what Conde Nast calls the best beach in the world and once again Tulum real estate prices went off the charts exponentially.
Now there is Muyil, once the most important city to the Mayans that pre-dates Tulum by almost 400 years. Muyil, located just 10 minutes south of Tulum with its inland lakes that are connected to the Caribbean via intricate canal systems dredged by the early Mayans themselves, is undoubtedly poised to be the next hotspot. Â
This research and conclusion is based upon empirical data and the growth cycles of Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Without sounding crass, it is a no brainer that Muyil's land value will exponentially grow as fast or faster than its cities to the North.
